Important Notes on Applications for the 2025 Nagasaki Ocean Academy:
The number of course sessions planned for the first half of the year is as follows. Note that these are subject to change based on future circumstances:
“A0: Offshore Wind Basics (Half-Day Course)”: 2 sessions
“A1: Introduction Course”, “A2: Project Development Course”, “A3: Certification, Insurance, and Finance Course”, “A4: Floating Structures Course”, and “A5: Wind Resource Observation Course”: 1 session each
“C3: HSE Basic Course”: 1 session
This course, facilitated by the Engineering Advancement Association of Japan (ENAA) and its member companies, involves the creation of content and instruction by industry experts. Participants will effectively acquire knowledge and skills related to the management of offshore wind farm design, procurement, construction, and commissioning, as well as strategies for dealing with issues such as delays and quality concerns. The course provides a simulated experience of an offshore wind farm construction project, allowing participants to gain practical insights. Drawing from the experiences of member companies involved in the Taiwan project, the course incorporates a wealth of insights, case studies, and practical knowledge to offer the latest information.Throughout the lifecycle of an EPC project, the course covers the planning, management, and execution of all tasks from contract acquisition to project completion. Participants will gain an understanding of the necessary knowledge and key management points for each phase. The course includes lectures on risk management, schedule management, port planning management, and cost management, followed by group work, presentations, and discussions.
